My Tory Burch Flats are a fashion staple in my wardrobe. I wear my Classic Tory Burch Black Leather Reva Flats with the Gold Logo on the toe, a few times a week, and they have worn so well! I also have have them in Silver Metallic with See-through Plastic on the sides. I got this pair a while ago and I still get great use out of them! They are comfortable, classy, simple, and they match with everything! Each pair is stamped with the Tory Burch Logo at the front of the toe, and I don’t think it is overwhelming at all, I find it very classy. I am always so comfortable in my flats, so I find myself wearing them when I know I have a long day, and I need reliable flats.
I previously wrote something very similar in one of my previous posts, and then found something that another JAP wrote on urbandictionary! GREAT JAPS THINK ALIKE
A Jewish American Princess (JAP) owns:
Hardtail and/or Juicy sweatpants, UGGs, a black puffy North Face, many cut sweatshirts, 2ct diamond earings, a Michele Watch, many long beaded necklaces, a Longchamp bag to carry books in, a Herves bag to carry laptop, a Louis key wallet for keys to their X5, a black RAZR, many Juicy zip-ups, Burberry scarves (NOT THE ORIGINAL COLORS!) , David Yurman jewelery. Dior or Chanel or Gucci sunglasses, 575 jeans, Rock & Republics, Seven for All Mankind denim (with Swarovski crystals), Citizens of Humanity jeans
A common misconception about JAPrincesses is that they wear jewelery from Tiffany & Co. They DO NOT (unless perhaps they’re in 7th grade).
Who makes it? Jeffrey Campbell
Why do I like it? First of all, Jeffrey Campbell is a God in the shoe world. If you haven’t checked out his shoes yet, you should. Here are a few other pairs of shoes of his to check out, All Stud Jeffrey Campbell Low Combat Boots, and Jeffrey Campbell Black Dip Detailing Boots. Jeffrey Campbell makes the most comfortable shoes.. and even if the design is crazy and the heels are high they will feel like you are walking on clouds. He makes shoes, everything from flats, to sandals, to heels and boots. He also makes shoes exclusively for the store LF. If you haven’t already, definitely check out his website.
Where can you get it? Online, selected stores, LF
Who’s wearing it? People with $$$$
How much is it? His shoes prices range, pretty much over $100.00
Why do I like it? I don’t even know where to begin. Being a huge brat and not being a huge fan of department stores and places flooded with unfashionable people that THINK they know fashion, LF is a smaller option with one of a kind, top of the line clothes. The locations are limited to NY, CA, FL, and MA- literally 4 stores, so there isn’t a million people walking around with the awesome selection of clothing from LF. First of all, you walk in the store and a feeling of excitement comes across your body because you literally don’t know where to go first- there is stuff EVERYWHERE, and it’s all AWESOME. Last time I went, I gathered a huge pile of clothing and tried it all on, eventually leaving with about 10 pieces. Everything, or most things, is a one of a kind and one size fits all (excluding pants and shoes) so you have to try everything on to insure there is no funky fit. The mood is very NYC and they have ranges of clothes from vintage, to urban, and really funky things. Everything in the store is great, from shorts and shirts, to dresses accessories and shoes. (I didn’t mention jeans because I am a jean brat and will only wear better jeans than LF carries.) Some of the shoes are Jeffrey Campbell, whom is one if my favorite shoe designers that has a personal contract with LF, making particular shoes sold ONLY at LF, Jeffrey Campbell Black Dip Detailing Boots and Pixie Heels by Jeffrey Campbell. The store is quite expensive, so if your funds are low, go with intentions of buying one item, or go when they have their annual 50% off sale. Add them on facebook to be updated on sales. The sale is amazing because literally the ENTIRE store is 50% off, and only for a few days… usually the store has no sales at all. If you haven’t yet, go to the site NOW.
Where did I find it? A Mary-kate and Ashley fashion blog
Why do I like it? This interview goes deep into the minds of how Mary-kate and Ashley interpret fashion, and incorporate that into their fashion lines. They really are master minds in the fashion-world because they have used their revenue to follow their passion and become who they really are- fashion icons. The concept of fashion that they practice, by way of their outfits and their manufactured clothing, is an example of modern jap. They even sound like little JAPs! As celebrities, they try to stay out of the lime-light so this interview is very insightful to many fans. They speak about their new line, called The Row, which Modern Jap did a segment on, Parts 1-4, here is part 1, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row Pre Collection Fall 2010 (1 of 4). I appreciate and agree with their approach to fashion in a simplistic way. As you can see, they’re brands are timeless pieces and they even tend to wear the timeless pieces they own. I too wear what’s comfortable, relaxed, and edgy, really whatever makes me feel good about myself.
Who’s wearing it? You should be, jap!
How much is it? Isn’t the jap life expensive…
